Náutica Costa Verde - Escuela de navegación y velero en Gijón

Náutica Costa Verde is an Asturian sailing school that offers training for all recreational boating certifications, from the Sailing License to the Yacht Captain certification. It has a training boat at the Gijón Marina (E4 dock) and classrooms in Oviedo and León. It has been authorized by the General Directorate of Fisheries since 2002, is an active tourism company, and also offers sailboat excursions with a skipper along the coast of Asturias.

Official Practical Training

• PER Motorboat Practical Training: 16 hours over four sessions (docking, anchoring, knots, GPS, charts, and navigation).
• Sailing practicals, which qualify PER, Skipper, or Yacht Captain holders to operate sailboats.
• Radio communications practicals.
• PER extension practicals (24 meters and the Balearic Islands).

Sailing Excursions

The school’s 10.30-meter boat sets sail with a certified Merchant Marine skipper for 7 crew members. For larger groups, additional certified boats are arranged.
