Costa Brava Divers is a dive center with more than 20 years of experience located on the Passeig Marítim de L'Estartit, just a few meters from the port and across from the Medes Islands. The Medes Islands are one of the richest marine reserves in the western Mediterranean, and Costa Brava Divers has made their waters its primary playground, offering guided dives, training courses, and snorkeling activities for all skill levels.

Dives in the Medes Islands

The Medes Islands have been protected as a marine reserve for decades, allowing marine life to recover and reach a density and variety rarely found in other parts of the Mediterranean:

L’Estartit is a tourist town with restaurants, parking, and road access from Girona (40 minutes) and Barcelona (1 hour 30 minutes).

Can you dive in the Medes Islands without a certification? Yes, through a try-dive, which allows for a guided dive in shallow waters under the direct supervision of an instructor.

When is the best time to go? From May through October, the water temperature is more pleasant (18–25 °C) and visibility is better. June and September offer the best balance between good conditions and fewer crowds.

What’s included in the price of a guided dive? Tank, weights, guide, insurance, and boat transportation. Personal gear (wetsuit, regulator, BCD) can be rented separately if you don’t have your own.
