Enjoy Saona is a water sports center in Cala Saona, on the west coast of Formentera, with more than 15 years of experience. It rents kayaks and stand-up paddleboards, organizes guided tours, SUP yoga, and group activities. No license or prior experience is required. Open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Cala Saona

Cala Saona is the only large cove on Formentera’s west coast: white sand, turquoise water, and reddish cliffs on either side. It’s famous for its sunsets: the sun sets over the sea, with Es Vedrà in the distance on Ibiza. From the water, by kayak or stand-up paddleboard, you can:

• Paddle along the cliffs and through the small caves on either side of the cove.
• Go snorkeling in the rocky areas, which are teeming with marine life.
• See the cove from a different perspective, away from the crowds on the sand.

• Bring waterproof sunscreen, a hat, and water.
• A waterproof bag for your phone, if you want to take photos.
• Don’t go too far out if the wind picks up; in western Formentera, conditions can change quickly.
• Stay until sunset: it’s one of the best in the Balearic Islands.
