Barcelona Nautic Center is a professional shipyard located at the Moll de Llevant in the Port of Barcelona, with more than 2.6 hectares dedicated exclusively to ship repair and maintenance. Its strategic location at the entrance to the port, next to Barceloneta Beach, makes it one of the leading shipyards in the western Mediterranean for recreational boats, racing sailboats, and yachts up to 45 meters in length.

Facilities and Capacity

The shipyard features a 330-metric-ton travel lift capable of hoisting vessels up to 13 meters in beam, allowing it to service large yachts without the need to travel to other ports. It also features:

• A 12.5-metric-ton crane for auxiliary maneuvers and the transport of engines and heavy equipment.
• 18,239 m² of land area with outdoor work zones and covered sheds for jobs requiring protection from the elements.
• 7,810 m² of water area with 22 berths for boats undergoing in-water repairs, ranging in length from 15 to 45 meters.
• Tender garage: space dedicated to the refit and maintenance of auxiliary boats.

Workshop Services

Barcelona Nautic Center offers all the trades necessary for comprehensive repairs without leaving its facilities:

• Mechanics: diagnosis and repair of diesel and gasoline engines, periodic inspections, oil and filter changes, and tune-ups of cooling and exhaust systems.
• Electrical and Electronics: design, installation, and repair of DC and AC electrical systems, lighting, audio, navigation systems (GPS, radar, AIS), and VHF communications.
• Painting and Fiberglass: osmosis treatment, fiberglass hull repairs, antifouling application, painting of the waterline, superstructure, and underwater hull. High-quality finishes using a spray booth.
• Carpentry and joinery: interior restoration, custom furniture fabrication, panel replacement, teak work (deck, swim platforms), and varnishing.
• Rigging: inspection and replacement of standing and running rigging, masts, furling systems, winches, and deck accessories for sailboats.
• Hydraulics: repair of steering systems, stabilizers, hydraulic gangways, line-throwing cranes, and trim systems.
• Metalwork: work on AISI 316 stainless steel and marine-grade aluminum: struts, stanchions, pulpits, antenna mounts, and custom-made parts.
• Naval engineering: modification projects, stability calculations, CE certifications, and technical consulting for major refits.

Dry Dock and Storage

The travel lift operates year-round, allowing us to schedule dry docking for both routine maintenance (antifouling, underwater hull inspection) and larger-scale repairs. Barcelona Nautic Center also offers on-land winter storage, with boats stored on cradles during the off-season and periodic inspections included.

Tank Cleaning

Specialized cleaning and degassing service for fuel and water tanks—a service that requires specific certifications and is rarely offered as an integrated service by other shipyards in the Mediterranean.

Location

Access by sea is direct from the mouth of the Port of Barcelona. By land, the entrance is at Passeig Joan de Borbó 144–146, just a few meters from the Barceloneta metro stop (L4). The area offers dining options, public transportation, and nearby parking.
