Tango Sails is a sail-making and marine upholstery workshop located in Port Ginesta, in Les Botigues de Sitges (Barcelona). Founded by Felipe, a trained sailor with years of experience in regattas and cruising, the workshop has become a leading name in Catalonia for everything related to custom sails, awnings, upholstery, and marine textiles. Sails

Tango Sails designs, manufactures, and repairs sails for all types of sailboats—from family cruisers to racing boats:

• New custom sails: mainsail, genoa, jib, gennaker, spinnaker, and code zero. Each sail is designed according to the owner’s sailing program (cruising, inshore racing, offshore racing) and is manufactured using fabrics from leading brands.
• Sail repair: sewing tears, reinforcing high-friction areas, replacing reinforcement patches, and repairing clew and eyelet repairs. The workshop is equipped with industrial sewing machines capable of working with fabrics up to several millimeters thick.
• Modifications: adapting existing sails to new furling configurations, changing reefing points, or making adjustments to optimize performance.

Awnings and Canopies

Protecting the cockpit and deck is essential in the Mediterranean, where UV radiation and seasonal rains can quickly deteriorate materials:

• Biminis: rigid or folding awnings for the helm area, made with stainless steel or aluminum tubing and high-UV-resistant acrylic fabrics.
• Canopies and sprayhoods: covers for the companionway that protect against spray and rain without obstructing visibility.
• Anchorage covers: Full-length tarps that cover the entire boat during the winter months, custom-made with reinforcements at stress points.
• Covers for the steering wheel, windlass, and winches: Individual protective covers for each deck component.

• Cockpit and transom cushions: custom-made with closed-cell foam (moisture-resistant) and marine-grade acrylic or vinyl fabrics.
