Moorings and Dry Dock
The club manages its moorings by advance reservation and has its own dry dock, allowing for annual maintenance without leaving the Port of Palma: antifouling, anodes, inspection of sea intakes, or work on the underwater hull. The harbor master’s office handles arrivals and manages stays.
Regattas
The RCNP organizes some of the most well-known regattas in the Mediterranean:
- Copa del Rey Mapfre, a flagship event in cruising sailing.
- Audax Marina Regattas.
- Ciutat de Palma Trophy, now in its 70th edition.
- Hispanidad Trophy.
- Winter Trophies and fall leagues.
Photos on its website show cruising boats with spinnakers in the bay, ILCA dinghies in competition, and the club entrance decorated with the flags of participating countries.
Sailing and Sports School
The club’s school offers programs for children and teens, as well as competitive teams that participate in national and international championships. Members also have access to a fitness program, a gym, and swimming pools.
Social Life
The club organizes a book club, a series of classical music concerts, and social events, and maintains a network of sister clubs in other countries—a useful resource for members who sail abroad.

Tips if you’re planning to moor in Palma during regatta weeks
- Book well in advance: During the Copa del Rey and other major regattas, the harbor fills up.
- Ask about the areas reserved for participating boats.
- Expect heavier traffic in the bay and at the harbor entrance on those days.
- Take advantage of the dry dock during the off-season, when there are more openings.
Before putting your boat in dry dock
Request a written estimate, confirm the days the boat will be out of the water, and provide a clear list of tasks. Taking photos of the hull when you haul it out helps you compare its condition from one year to the next.
A Club with History
The RCNP is one of Spain’s best-known yacht clubs, and its name is synonymous with competitive sailing in Mallorca. For a boat owner, this means a marina bustling with sporting activity and a true seafaring atmosphere right in the heart of Palma.
