Escuela Balear de Náutica - Títulos náuticos en Palma

Escuela Balear de Náutica is a school where you can earn boating certifications in Playa de Palma (Mallorca). It has been training recreational sailors since 1984 and maritime professionals since 2012. It was the first sailing school authorized by the Balearic Government and the second in Spain to be authorized by the Merchant Marine, and it holds ISO 9001 certification. According to the school, 90% of students pass on their first attempt, and 99% on their second, depending on the certification.

Training Vessels

It has three vessels of its own, one of which is a motor catamaran equipped with state-of-the-art electronics and safety equipment. They are moored at the Arenal Yacht Club. In addition, the school is restoring a 24-meter training schooner. The navigation and radio training you complete with them qualifies you to earn your certification in any autonomous community.

Format examples: The Sailing License is completed in a single day, with 2 hours of theory and 4 hours of practical training, on a Saturday or Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The PNB lasts about 16–20 hours, and there are courses that begin in February, April, July, and September–October.

Faculty

The instructors hold advanced degrees from the Merchant Marine or are ocean-going skippers. Among them is a Navy Captain who taught on the training ship Juan Sebastián de Elcano and is also a competitive sailor.
