The Open Shipyard Model

In a traditional shipyard, the shipyard itself performs or subcontracts all the work. At STP, the yard provides the infrastructure, and the yacht owner chooses from among the partner companies based on-site: general refit, plumbing, fiberglass and composites, welding and sheet metal work, awnings and upholstery, engines and generators, and many other trades. This allows the yacht owner to work with their trusted suppliers and compare quotes.
